Submission Guidelines

Prairie Owl Publishing only publishes original works of fiction. Our general guidelines are as follows:

♦ Your story must be original
♦ You must have a completed, full-length project (minimum word count dependant on genre and project; please see specific guidelines below)
♦ We do NOT require that you are currently working with a literary agent
♦ We accept simultaneous submissions

*Please note: We do not publish short stories or novellas outside of specific projects, unless the author plans to publish at least one full-length novel in the same genre with us

To submit your manuscript, send an e-mail to us with the subject of "QUERY: [Your project's title]" Please include your full name, a short bio, the complete word-count of your manuscript, and a brief synopsis or description of your proposed book.

Please be aware that we will only respond to the queries of those works which we are interested in reviewing. If we are interested in reviewing your manuscript, we will send you instructions for submitting the first three (3) chapters. Please allow up to 4 weeks for us to reply to your query.

If you currently have more than one manuscript finished, please only submit the one (1) you are most excited about. We will only review one manuscript per author at a time.
